Avoid visiting museums on days when admission is free for everyone.
Visiting museums and other cultural landmarks in Paris on days when entry is free for everyone isn’t recommended due to the large crowds. There are certain days when museums in Paris are free, like the first Sunday of the month or on the night of the museums. If your visit happens to fall on one of those days, take advantage of the quieter streets instead and explore the city with something like a Montmartre Walking Tour, which is a perfect way to enjoy a different side of Paris.
Don’t pack too many activities in one day.
Take your time to enjoy the museums and landmarks you’re visiting without just rushing through them. Plan a realistic number of visits per day otherwise, you may end up exhausted and unable to fully enjoy the experience. Visiting too many museums in a row can feel like a bit too much and make the experience less memorable. - Please note that you must use Paris Museum Pass on consecutive days. For example, if you begin using your pass at 14:00, that day will be considered your first day.
- The Pass must be collected at the ticket office located at the address 23 rue d’Aboukir, 75002 Paris, which is just a 10-minute walk from the Musée du Louvre. The office is open every day from 09:00-18:00.
- Public museum entrance is free for EU citizens under 26 years old and for all children under 18 years old. The Museum pass is therefore not needed, but you will need a regular ticket to enter the museums.
- Check the available time slots before visiting a particular museum or monument. It is necessary to book a timeslot in advance to ensure your entrance to the Louvre. You will find the link for the booking on your voucher.
- Due to the high number of visitors and renovation works, entry to the Louvre can’t be guaranteed.
