This was a last-minute decision to book Opéra Garnier tickets after seeing how stunning it was on the outside during the open-top bus tour. Absolutely glad we did because its interior is something else. Didn't have that much time to do the guided tour as we were on a tight schedule, but 45 minutes in this place was still enough to put big smiles on our faces. Definitely worth a visit!
I highly recommend visiting Opera Garnier while staying in Paris. The self-guided tour was excellent, easy to follow, and comprehensive, yet not too long. We took our teenage daughter, and she enjoyed it very much as well, and she has already seen many main sites in Paris. Our favorite part of the visit was the ceiling that is covered with Marc Chagall's frescos.
Opéra de Paris is so beautiful! The entrance staircases and rooms are incredibly ornate. Unfortunately, the auditorium was not lit, but you could imagine how beautiful it would be with all the lights on. Getting the best view of the auditorium requires hanging around for a bit, but the splendor of the other areas more than makes up for that. There is also a library area which was interesting to explore. In comparison to other attractions in Paris, this was very well-priced. I would definitely recommend purchasing this ticket!

- Please note that the concert rooms inside the Opera are regularly closed for visitors for technical or artistic reasons.
- The Opera Garnier is open to visitors daily from 10 AM to 5 PM (the last admission is at 4:30 PM). Times of visit can be changed when there is a theater show during the afternoon.
- Entrance is free for children under the age of 11 years.
- Cloakrooms are closed. It isn’t allowed to enter with a scooter, pushchair, or any kind of large luggage.
- Admission to the public areas, including the Library-Museum of the Opera, Le grand Foyer and L’avant-Foyer, The Grand Staircase, The Moon and Sun Salons, and La Rotonde du Glacier.
